JOURNEY
SO
FAR
A notebook. A pen. And a young man trying to make sense of the noise in his head.
This is how Kunj Khera, known as Kashmokash, began his journey in 2017. Writing poetry became his way to process life — family, childhood, love, loss, moments of numbness — and slowly, through reflection and spirituality, he started discovering his own inner voice. What started on paper naturally demanded more. Words turned into lyrics, thoughts found rhythm, and emotions found melody. Studying Electronic Music Production at Catalyst Institute in Berlin gave him the tools to craft stories in sound. He wrote and recorded his first rap track, Cartoon, entirely by himself, learning firsthand how to turn ideas into music. Returning to India, Kunj immersed himself in collaboration — jamming with emerging artists, vocalists, and producers — experimenting with Indian and commercial sounds, and honing his voice as a singer, composer, and songwriter. Alongside music, he learned the visual side of storytelling, working with directors, cinematographers, and full production crews to create six music videos, discovering how performance and visuals amplify emotion. He has released eight singles, including tracks like Ek Hawa Ka Jhonka, Chandri, and Jazbaaton Waali Raat, which aired on Red FM 93.5 for a year, helping him build a growing audience. Today, Kashmokash focuses on indie pop, pop, RnB, classical, and commercial songwriting, blending poetic storytelling with modern, accessible sound.

Original Lyrics (Punjabi) Sohne tere pyaar mei katiyaan kinni raatan mai Baitha vich minaar mai sajna laike teriyaan yaadan Ve mera ki kasoor Inne sohne ho hazoor Nede ajja rehna dhoor Meri ankhaan da tu noor Ve mera ki kasoor Inne sohne ho hazoor Jatt karda qubool Meri ankhaan da tu noor O beautiful one, in your love I’ve spent so many nights, Alone in my tower, lost in your memories and lights. What is my fault? You’re just so beautiful, my love, my all. Come closer to me, don’t stay so far, You are my light, my guiding star. What is my fault? You’re just so beautiful, my love, my all. I confess it true, from my heart so pure— You are my light, forever my cure.
Origina Lyrics (Punjabi) Moon jayi chitti baali kanna ch fabdi hai, Vekh tera sohna mukhda chaand nu nazra lagdi hai Main tera Ranjha te tu Heer meri jachdi hai, Vekh meri fikki zindagi nu tu loon jayi lagdi hai. English (Poetic Translation): Your moon-like earrings glow so bright on you, Even the moon feels jealous when it looks at you. I’m your Ranjha, and you’re my Heer so true, In my pale, empty life… you’re the flavor that pulls me through.
Original Lyrics (Punjabi) Je tu mainu lehde jhumka Matching jayi koka baali, Taah baithan di sochungi Main Vich teri ae laal feraari English Translation: If you gift me those earrings, a jhumka that shines, With a matching nose ring, just perfect in line, Then maybe I’ll think, just maybe I’ll agree, To take a seat beside you in your red Ferrari.
Original Lyrics (Punjabi) Teri ankhaan waala jaam chadgya Nasha subha nu shaam kargya Ishq tera sar chad gya baliye Bhang nu yu badnaam kargya English translation: Your eyes poured a drink I can’t deny, Turned my mornings into an endless high, Your love rose straight to my head, oh girl, Even bhang seems sober in your swirl.
Original Lyrics (Punjabi) Soniye sun zara mere dil di ae bas ikko arzi Je tu mainu de ijazat karan ibadat allah wargi English Translation: Listen, my love, just hear my heart’s one plea, There’s only one wish living inside of me, If you allow me, if you set me free, I’d worship you like a prayer to eternity.
Original Lyrics (Punjabi) Ohh Karzdaar mai chan da Jugnu mere yaar maland da Raatan nu pehra dende ghar sohne yaar sajan da English Translation: I’m in debt to the moon’s soft light above, Fireflies glow like my wandering love, All night they stand guard, gentle and grand, Outside the home of my beautiful beloved’s land.
